About
A firm built for one kind of document.
Civic Translation translates the notices, forms, applications, and outreach materials California public agencies are required to produce, reviewed, certified, and delivered on a committed date.
What the firm is for
The deadlines are not ours to move.
This work carries deadlines set by hearings, mailings, and statutes.
Most of this work has a hearing date, an enrollment window, or a statutory response deadline behind it. Standard turnaround is 2 business days to fit those clocks. The scope: government and civic documents, with an independent qualified reviewer on every job and a signed certificate on every delivery.

Operating model
How jobs are staffed and run.
One desk end to end.
Intake, quoting, terminology, layout, QA, and delivery sit with the same people. A question about your file gets answered without a handoff.
Linguists are matched to the pair.
Translation and independent review are done by qualified linguists in that specific language pair. The reviewer is never the translator, and both are settled before the quote carries a date.
Small orders are taken.
A one-page notice is quoted and delivered on the same terms as a handbook. No minimum order, no small-order surcharge.
Dates are committed at the quote.
A delivery date in a quote is one already staffed. If a deadline cannot be held, the quote says so before you order.
We translate into any language your program is required to publish in. Every job is assigned a qualified translator and a second, independent reviewer in that language pair, confirmed before we quote.
The pairs we are asked for most: Spanish, Chinese, Vietnamese, Filipino, Russian, Korean, and Arabic.
Standards
How we staff every job.
The practices that make the turnaround reliable.
Review confirmed before acceptance.
If a second qualified linguist cannot be put on the pair inside your deadline, you hear that at quoting. We do not accept a date we cannot staff with review.
Human review on every delivery.
Independent review is in every job, at every turnaround tier. It cannot be removed to reduce cost.
Quoted dates are staffed before we commit.
A delivery date in our quote is already assigned. If something changes (the source file moves, a reviewer falls out), you hear it the day it happens.
Credentials listed when issued.
Registrations, certifications, and insurance are listed only once issued. The capability statement shows what is current.
